Trade-Alliance (Sussex) Ltd ("Trade Alliance", "we", "us") is the data controller for the personal data described here. We are registered in England & Wales, company number 17338976, registered office 5 Penhurst Court, Worthing, BN14 9DG.

We are registered with the UK Information Commissioner's Office (ICO), registration number CSN1456043.

• Account details — your name, email address, phone number, property address and postcode, and your membership tier.
• Job and service records — the jobs, emergencies, quotes and messages you raise with us, including photos you upload, site notes, and guarantee records.
• Payment details — your subscription status and billing history. Card details are entered on Stripe's own payment pages and are never stored on our systems.
• Communications — emails and SMS we send you and their delivery status, and any reviews you choose to publish.
• Technical and marketing data — basic device and page-visit information, and advertising measurement data if you accept non-essential cookies.

• To provide your membership — running your account, dispatching engineers, honouring response times and your workmanship guarantee. Lawful basis: performance of our contract with you.
• To take payment — subscription billing and refunds through Stripe. Lawful basis: contract.
• To keep records — invoices, guarantee and safety records. Lawful basis: legal obligation and legitimate interests.
• To improve and advertise our service — measuring how our ads and website perform. Lawful basis: your consent, given through the cookie banner.

We do not sell your personal data, and we do not share it with third parties for their own marketing.

We use a small number of trusted providers to run the service:

• Stripe — subscription payments and card processing.
• Twilio — SMS notifications about your jobs and membership.
• Resend — transactional email delivery.
• Lovable Cloud — secure hosting of our database, file storage and sign-in system.
• Google Ads — advertising measurement, only where you have accepted advertising cookies.

We may also disclose information where we are legally required to, or to establish or defend legal claims.

We keep your account and job records for as long as you are a member and for six years afterwards, which allows us to honour guarantees and meet UK accounting and tax record-keeping requirements. Marketing and analytics data is kept for a shorter period. When data is no longer needed it is deleted or anonymised.

Access to member data is restricted to authorised Trade Alliance staff. Data is held in an access-controlled database with row-level permissions, transmitted over encrypted connections, and card details are handled entirely by Stripe. No online service can be guaranteed to be completely secure, but we take these safeguards seriously and review them regularly.

Under UK data protection law you can ask us to give you a copy of your data, correct it, delete it, restrict or object to how we use it, or transfer it to another provider. You can also withdraw cookie consent at any time on our cookie policy page.

Email gary@trade-allianceltd.co.uk and we will respond within one month. If you are unhappy with our response you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.

Trade Alliance memberships are for adults. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18.

We may update this policy as our service changes. The date at the top always shows when it was last revised.
